What do I need to ride a scooter?

<h1>I want a scooter but which one can I ride? </h1> The minimum age to ride a scooter in the UK is 16.   You will need a provisional licence and must complete the Compulsory Basic Training (CBT).   If you have a FULL Car Driving Licence and this was issued before February 2001 you can ride a 50cc without displaying L plates. You can also ride up to a 125cc but you will have to do the CBT.   The Compulsory Basic Training (CBT) is carried out by professional training instructors and will teach you all the basics required to ride safely. We will make all the CBT booking arrangements for you. Once completed, you will  be able to ride up to a 125cc displaying L plates. Displaying L Plates means that you are not allowed to ride on motorways or carry a pillion passenger. In order to do this you will need to take the Full Motorcycle Test. If your licence was issued after February 2001, you will need to do the CBT to ride a 50cc or 125cc.     Do I Buy A 50cc. or a 125cc or bigger? If you're commute is a short distance, let's say up to five miles each way, a 50cc will be perfectly adequate. If however you are traveling longer distances, licence permitting, then a 125cc would be more indicated. Please come and visit us.
